Paul Baumbach of Newark has been re-elected President of the Progressive Democrats for Delaware (PDD) at their annual meeting held in February at Democratic Party offices in New Castle. Baumbach will serve a one year term, along with Jason Melrath of Wilmington, who was re-elected to the offices of Vice President and Treasurer.

David Ingalsbe of Newark was elected secretary, while Bill Pearson of Wilmington, Bill Dunn of Stanton, and Bill Cortes of Wilmington were elected to the Steering Committee for two year terms, or until 2014. Currently in the midst of their two year terms ending in 2013 are fellow Steering Committee members Jerry Northington of Wilmington, Connie Merlet of Newark, and Kris Muto of Wilmington.

PDD is a Liberal/Progressive unit of the Delaware Democratic Party and meets monthly. The group is currently working on issues surrounding the current Legislative session in Dover and also is planning a series of endorsements for progressive office seekers in the November elections.
